Is there any way to see a list of what Netflix offers for streaming *without* being a member? This is looking attractive enough to make me give up on Greencine, and maybe even cancel the cable besides, but I'd like to see what I could get before I make the leap...

I don't know if you can. But they've got a referral program that'll get you two weeks for free, which you could use to scope it out.

The movie selection still has its weak points, but it has improved immeasurably since they launched it. When they added the Starz movies to it, it got a lot of the new/mainstream films it'd been missing. The TV selection is pretty good.

I actually just got a "Try Netflix for two months for FREE" card in the mail, so I'll give that a shot. The idea of eliminating cable is awfully appealing, especially if Netflix streaming has enough black-and-white classics that we can pass up Turner Classic Movies.

There is actually a decent amount of black-and-white classics. The selection of television shows is lacking, though.

Dude, if you like Coach, Sliders, or Seaquest DSV, they've got you covered. What else could you possibly want?

It's got holes in it, but that's true of the Watch Instantly in general. I like the way they're filling it in, though.
