That makes absolutely no sense. Nine months, no guitar, but you can place an order online and get it yourself. After month #5, why didn't the local shop just take your money, place an order with MusiciansFriend themselves, and get one of these Wrath of God machines to you? They keep your business; you get a guitar. No one's the wiser. Nine months? Some labor pains you have there.

I didn't make this very clear, but the shop actually had the bass on order 6 months before I walked in (it's a six-month wait from the factory for each order). Hence, it's been 9 months since the order, but only 3 months since I placed a deposit.

But yeah, the shop owner's kind of a tool.

You know what you need to do? Take a page from Inigo!

INIGO: I am waiting for you, Rickenbacker. You told me to go back to the beginning. So I have. This is where I am, and this is where I'll stay. I will not be moved.

ASSISTANT BRUTE: Ho there.

INIGO: I do not budge. Keep your "Ho there."

ASSISTANT BRUTE: But the manager gave orders --

INIGO: I placed one! And when the order went wrong, I went back to the beginning. And this is where I placed the order. So it's the beginning, and I'm staying till Rickenbacker comes.

Now if you just find a Fezzik or maybe a Man in Black.

Inconceivable!
