Sucks to your morality. A founding principle of our democracy is that people must have the freedom to believe what they want.

Let the Scientists be Scientists and the hippies be hippies, or let them intermarry or something. I can understand you're pissed that our current government is dominated by yahoos, but don't take it out on harmless citizens.

No-one's saying they can't believe what they want. Go right ahead, as long as they really are "harmless."

I'm saying that when what they believe hurts people, it should be made clear that it is wrong. And people are being hurt, directly and indirectly.

You know what really sucks? A morality that thinks it's okay to stand idly by. Do I have to bring up Kitty Genovese?

In a democracy, there are no "harmless citizens."
